1. Our promise to you

At LDF we take great pride in the product and the service we provide for you. By purchasing from us you can expect the same high standards we are renowned for in the hospitality sector. All of our goods and services comply with relevant British food standards and legislation. Food safety is paramount at LDF and as such we adopt practices far beyond industry standard.

When purchasing from us through our website you agree to our terms and conditions.

2. Delivery Arrangements and Costs

We deliver in our own refrigerated vehicles to addresses within our designated distribution route, covering the majority of the South Lakes and London zones 1-6. Deliveries within our distribution route will be free of charge. Any deliveries outside of our distribution route will be delivered via a courier service and will be subject to an additional £12.50 charge, to cover the courier costs incurred by us for the delivery. When delivering via courier, we will package your product in a thermal box containing ice packs to ensure your order arrives in the best possible condition. Please use the “do we deliver to you” section on our website to check whether we deliver to you and to confirm whether our delivery charge is applicable.

If nobody is available to accept your delivery at your designated address or you ask us to leave your goods in a secure place, LDF expressly disclaims all liability that could arise as a consequence of your goods being left unattended, including but without limitation, deterioration, theft, contamination and tampering.

3. Acceptable Weight Variation

We are incredibly lucky to employ some of the best butchers in the country and we will always endeavour to be as close as possible to the advertised product weight. However, due to the bespoke nature in which we produce, and with all orders being hand prepared individually, it is possible that there may be small weight variations against those advertised. We will make sure that these variations never exceed 10% over or under the weight advertised.

4. Short Stocks and Substitutes

We micro-manage our stock to ensure that availability is at its optimum. However, please bear in mind that we work with small producers and as such, due to occasional limited supply, it cannot always be guaranteed. We will also only deliver a product to you when it meets our quality standards. So, if for any reason a product is not available, whether that be due to a short fall in stock or due to quality concerns, we will substitute the unavailable product for an available product that we feel is the most similar to that ordered. If you are unhappy with your substitute, please contact the office and we will organise a refund for you.

5. LDF Quality, Every time.

Our life’s work is ensuring that you receive the very best, every time you order from us. If for any reason you aren’t satisfied with the product or service we deliver, please contact the office within 24 hours of receiving your order. We will ensure that any complaints are dealt with personally by a member of our team and will always go above and beyond to put things right. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund for any goods ordered in error, due to the perishable nature of our product. Please ensure that our products are refrigerated as soon as they arrive with you, as we are unable to offer refunds for spoilage on product that has been left unrefrigerated.

6. Allergens

Some of our products will contain allergens. We will ensure that the product label clearly states which allergens are contained in each product. Please make sure you read this information, it is your responsibility to do so. We want to make sure our customers are kept safe and as such this is very important to us. LDF cannot accept responsibility for any reactions you may have to the allergens contained in products when they’ve been declared on the label. 7. Cancellation

All of your orders will be produced individually, for you. With this in mind we are unable to offer cancellations or amendments to orders, unless specifically agreed by us.

8. Data Protection

Any personal information we collect from you will be used solely for the purposes of our relationship. This will enable us to notify you of new and improved services we may be able to offer. Your details will be stored securely, in confidence, we will not disclose them to any third party without your express permission. Please see our PRIVACY NOTICE for more information.
